A new installation should work. Pls help as I dont want to throw the optix XR away and get a new one. I wonder if you can install it within XPMode? My colorimiter is the DPT94 version. The one time I did not say yes it just crashes again.

Then when I log back in, the computer asks if it should try and fix the problem that caused the crash and if I say yes it avoids the blue screen.

I installed the v driver from the X-Rite site which drives the same puck under Vista in another X-Rite colorimeter. Using Monaco XR with W You will need to either install or update drivers depending on which button is available. Konaco needed still can be found at the X-Rite website. Click on update driver 7. Bob, It is good and bad to see that I am not alone. As you point out this colorimeter is no longer supported so installing it under W was a real effort. My colorimiter is the DPT94 version. If yes then at the next stage when it says adjust your brightness, mojaco will I bring back the backlight in relation to the usual brightness? The xrite website says that their software will not work with 64 bit versions of vista or Windows 7, so I am surprised you got it to work okay.
