Also, maybe a bit off subject, does anyone elses mobo take a while to post when RAM is in Dual Channel? If you replace your original CPU does it work fine still? Ive set the comp up on bare minimum, and it just dosent want to play ball. Install OS That will do it. Looks like there is some sort of compatibility issue between my MB and the Q I think the next step would be to do an extended CMOS clear. Discussion in ‘ Motherboards ‘ started by neoglow , May 21,

Gigabyte GA-G31M-ES2L owners ? I’ve got a problem
Hi Derek and welcome to the Gigabyte Forum. March 06, Device manager now shows Intel ICH7.
How unlucky is that!?! March 04, Ive set the comp up on bare minimum, and it just dosent want to play ball. Any other ideas or suggestions would be appreciated. I get into Windows, install mobo drivers, gpu drivers etc.
Yes I figured that was the problem Derek, but why is another matter. Sep 14, Posts: Discussion in ‘ Motherboards ‘ started by neoglowMay 21, Do you already have an account?
Here is my issue: I’ll let you know the results. I’m new to this Forum so I g1m-es2l I am following protocol here. A couple of questions first i’m afraid.
GA-G31M-ES2L and related drivers
Heres the conclusion from another ci I made about this god damn system build, has to be the worst build Ive ever had to do. According to the website the new processor should be supported ok. Select in the advanced option which source to boot from. Lotsa reboots and has been working ever since. Why cant they just explain this stuff in manuals???
Which setting should I have it on??? Log in or Sign up. I was able to get to the Bios Screen once, but that has been it.
GA-G31M ES2L rev bios ver FF RAM problem
Yes, my password is: Straight back into XP, did another restart to see if the Bios had automatically changed itself back to Compatible. Am I the only one out here experiencing this problem?
Heres something funny which just goes to show how Mobo manufacturers make these boards and sometimes not tell you what the hell some Bios settings mean. Install OS That will do it.
So heres the problem, when I try to fresh install Windows XP, all seems to go fine. Was a painful process of elimination. Make any other changes to the BIOS settings to suit your self like disabling the floppy drive, disabling the full screen logo and making the HDD the primary boot device and then press F10 to save and exit. The G31m-s2l install setup found the HDD and created partition etc. What memory do you have installed and in what slots?
